Install the tboard-server

The TBoard app requires a tboard-server installed on the PC to work:

Connect the device to the pc with a usb cable and copy the file tboard-server from device to pc, on desktop or where you can open it. The file will be created or updated in the following folder when you open the tboard app on the device:

/Android/data/it.tbit.tboard/files/

If necessary, copy the file to the public folder /Download of the device to read the file from pc. The tboard-server is limited by user permissions and it cannot controls administrative and root sessions. You need to run tboard-server as root administrator if you want to control these sessions.

On the pc set the system keyboard layout to US/american-international. On Windows you can set the keyboard layout from settings: language control panel. To understand how to use the international layout look for instructions on the Internet.

Caution:
Limit the tboard-server to the subnet or to a specific ip through the firewall. Without security settings someone could remotely control your pc typing dangerous keyboard commands. It is very difficult but theoretically possible.

Tboard uses inbound and outbound UDP connection on port 9779.

If someone near you is spying your local WiFi network it could decipher the keys you type. In next version the client-server communications will be strongly encrypted, but in this version the communications are readable in the subnet and are encrypted only by your WiFi security settings. Use Tboard only on trusted WiFi networks. Keep in mind that in any case you can set up a dedicated encrypted WiFi hotspot on your pc to connect the Tboard device on that network. In Windows see settings, network, hotspot for this. With the right security settings on your PC and device you can use Tboard in total security.
